ThE BrieF:
Loca Flora
A ripple effect from the tenacity of Rebecca Muller of Loca Flora in Gettysburg who has a knack for creating commercial space and sculptural pieces that demand attention in a little town known most for it's politics and tourism.
This shoot intended to highlight the a nuance of delicacy, strength, and brevity that Rebecca's floral pieces carry-- and greater still the creativity resistance to conform into what's expected
The models were chosen in the context of this setting intentionally during a significant surge in hate, discrimination, and violence against Asian Americans occurring in 2020-2021, fueled by xenophobia related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
I worked closely with the production team to balance creative intent with logistical execution, ensuring that natural elements, styling, and composition all supported a cohesive visual direction.
THE RESULT? images that capture the strength, beauty, and elegance of knowing oneself while carrying the reality of resistance with grace.
