ThE BrieF:

Baroque-n Spirit

A collaborative shoot inspired by themes of Baroque fashion and an eery fatigue lingering over women during the French Revolution. Within this infamous period of mass beheadings, “lunacy” diagnosis, and a feverish need for social acceptance to survive, we imagined a flickering flame of resistance and creativity that refused to be snuffed out, despite adaptation being a necessary evil.

Shot on stage in York’s most famous theater The Appell Center for the Performing Arts, this collaborative team was stacked with artists leaning heavily into ingenuity, insanity, and losing oneself completely to character.
